HP2500 - unlisted status light combo

Fellow techs,
I'm getting a "GO and Ready" solid light combo. This is not listed in the service manual. Its listed under Secondary error messages, but this isn't secondary, it comes on as soon as I boot it and stays on . I tried a cold reset, but these lights won't go off (as needed to show the reset). I replaced the DC controller and the formatter.
Any help would be greatly apprecieted.

Have you added memory? It might be wrong, or the one chip in there might be bad. Firmware chip can cause this too.

I just tried pulling the flash and ram out - same lights. Maybe it is indeed a bad flash - that gives that error whether its bad or absent.
I'll see if I can borrow a good stick
