    Hi,

How do I set the IP addres of my LJ5 after performing a cold reset which has set the IP to 0.0.0.0?

Go into the menu on the printer and look for the MIO or EIO menu. Then enter the submenu, config TCP/IP, and make sure you have BOOTP=NO, otherwise it will look for a bootp server or DHCP server. Then you can set the IP and subnet mask.

Also, remove the jetdirct before you cold-reset and you won't loose your settings.

    Thank you,

Under the MIO menu I only have one option - CFG NETWORK = NO. there doesn't seem to be any way to manualy input the IP address.

About the cold reset, it was my intention to wipe the IP address from the jetdirect card. Unfortunately/fortunately? we have a fixed IP address system at our workplace so the printer could not take the IP address with it to it's new location.

You'll need to first set the option to CFG NETWORK + YES before you'll get the rest of the MIO menu.

Disabling DHCP Worked for me. Thanks
But there got to be an easier way to do this!
