Thread: 4250 sensor PS102 keeps getting stuck down

Default 4250 sensor PS102 keeps getting stuck down

I have reset the sensor 5 times already and it keeps happening every couple of days. While it was taken apart I was able to get the sensor to stick manually every time by pushing it down and it will click into the down position and stay there. Should I replace the whole assembly or is there a way to fix that sensor sticking down? And if I need to replace it, what is the part number for the whole assembly?

I do not know about the sensor but the best place to find the HP part number is:
http://partsurfer.hp.com, and you should be able to find a free download for the service manual on the Internet.

Is the spring on the sensor flag? It can get weak, and if woudn to many times, can be too short, and slip into the cavity. Order the flag and spring when ordering the paper feed assy.
