Default Lexmark T632 - paper jam where there isn't?

I have a T632 that is stopped on a "242 Check Tray 2" error. There is no visible paper jam. To remedy the situation temporarily, I removed the tray 2 assy. so the user can continue to print. It works fine without the tray 2 assy. (i.e., I DIDN'T just remove the paper drawer , I removed the whole 500-sheet unit).

I'm sure this is a problem with a paper sensor or something - I just haven't had time to research too much yet as it just happened this morning. I haven't found anything on Lexmark's site as of yet.

    Anyone have experience with this?

Do you have the finisher installed? This will be a secondary message.
If this unit gets a lot of use, the rollers in the tray 2 assy. are worn most likely.
