Unhappy mirroring image approx 3" below original

I have a HP laserjet 1200, recently it has been mirroring a lighter image of the original approx 3" below it. I was told it could be the paper, toner or the fuser. Any ideas? The printer is used to print about 40 copies the first week of every month. The toner cartridge is about 2 years old

    It's the fuser pressure roller.

Put a piece of paper in the MP tray.Run a test page.Unplug the printer when the end of the paper enters the printer.Examine the area of the print that is between the toner and the fuser. If its bad, replace the toner. If its not, replace the fuser.
