Arrow HP LJ 8150 Paper path probelm

This bugger damages the paper with a 3/4' wide series of v-shaped "embossings" about 7" from the top of page. It crosses the entire width of the page.
It does this when pulling from Tray 2 OR Tray 3.
Every dozen pages or so, the page ejects tightly fanfolded. Makes a nice fan, but the end users want it fixed. Thanks for your suggestions.

Run paper path test and try to find out where the paper is catching to be folded. If its to intermittent, does the toner print inside the folds or not?
If there is toner inside the folds, it happens after transfer and is likely a fuser problem.
If there is no toner in the folds, its happening before transfer so registration maybe.

If It happens all the time...open the top cover while running paper path test. Check to see if paper is damaged. This should put you in the ballpark of where the damage is occuring.

It sounds like a fuser problem for sure. Once it does jam, make sure you open the fuser to see if there is any paper stuck in it, also, under the toner there is a openable gate(accordian guard) Make sure you lift it up and look under to see if there is any paper hiding in there. Good Luck
