I am trying to fix a printer on a users laptop and not having much sucess. The user has a HP Laserjet 1200 connected to his docking station and a Deskjet 970cxi he carries around. Yesterday the 1200 just stopped working for some reason. I tried to install it again using the PCL6 driver and get the message:
OMMENT HP LaserJet 1200 Series PCL
@PJL SET RET=ON
@PJL SET ECONOMODE=OFF
@PJL SET TRAY1ITEM
at the top of the page then half of the page prints. I then tried to go to the PCL5e driver and now it prints a page full of wingdings or something then a blank page. It does this over and over until the paper runs out or you pull the tray and turn the printer off.
Any ideas? I'm completely stumped.
