We have a 4100 DTN laserjet in our office. Today our facility experienced a power outage. After power was restored, our printer gave the error message "install toner cartridge". I installed 3 different toner cartridges & I still get the same message. I went to the web site for error messages & found the error message. It does state "the high voltage power supply may cause this error".

Is there any way to reset this to continue printing without having to contact a repair company?

You can try cold resetting the printer. Turn the power off, remove the jetdirect card if there is one installed, hold down the GO button while turning the power on. This will reset the printer to factory defaults. My guess is that this will not help. You'll probably need to get it serviced. If a power surge damaged the printer you could have multiple problems.
