My facility has an HP deskjet 3820. This printer did operate for a very short period of time. It has decided not to cooperate with me! When the power is initilized a sheet of paper is fed through without any difficulty. The printer is recognized on the pc as the default printer and is "online". When a "test page" is sent the printer the power light blinks briefly and then stops. Nothing else happens. When a "print job" is sent the printer the power light blinks, the rollers roll but no print job. The ink cartridge carrier does move freely accross when powered on. What am I missing?!

Have you tried changing the cartridges.
It may be a faulty one and not reading it correctly

Yes, I have replaced the cartridges with the same results. I did get a response from the HP forum that states:

There two comon problems with these printers
1. Service Station Does Not Work (Gear Breaks inside)
2. Logic Board Dies

Thank you for your response.
