4P Goes to sleep on me

I have 4P that works fine just after I turn it on. However, if I don't print anything for a while, and then try to print, the printer doesn't respond and I have to turn it off and on again to make it work. Any ideas?

All Laserjets have a standby function. If you go into menu mode on the printer you will find where you can alter the length of time before it goes into standby mode. When gone into standby mode you need to wait a minute or two for it to "warm UP" again the next time you print..... this is normal. No need to switch off and on!
