Hi all
We use HP 4500 laser color printer for graphics team. I am interested in sharing it for all employees but without high-quality printing (for text only).
In other printers I will decrease dpi and this will solve the problem. How I can do it on HP laserjet????
Thanks

Well! You have an old unit, but that is no reason to continue to abuse it!
A COLOR printer is used for printing COLOR. Continued use for non-color printing is just going to cause problems. Unless the "text" will BE in color.
Also, if this unit is going to be available for all to use, then you better assign someone to be the custodian for it! At least three times a week it should be checked for toner spillage, and to empty the waste tray. Even HP toners can leak, and non-HP toners WILL fail all too often. Check into and\or invest in a newer unit like the 2600, 3600, that have a straight up paper path, and no rotations of the toner.
Printer drivers on a print server only, and lock out all user rights. You can set the dpi, and half toning, etc. there, and not have people change it without re-setting as the are wont to do.You may print when ready, Gridly.
