can't print

Hello,

I have an hp 1220c. It has not been dropped or damaged in any way. I merely transfered it form one room to another, plugged in the usb cable and tried to print. I later found that I can print a test page but nothing else.

Has anyone experienced similar,

Have you rebooted your computer after you plugged in the printer??
Did it say found new hardware and install it?
If you have done this then I would uninstall the driver for the printer.
Make sure you have the copy of the driver ready to replace this one before you uninstall it.
Then I would turn the computer off and make sure printer is plugged in and reboot. Re-install new driver.
Did you install anything new before setting up your printer in the other room?
you may have to uninstall the new hard ware and install after the printer it could be an IRQ issue as well.
