My LJ 6L will operate normally when the input tray is full. However, as the number of sheets in the tray decreases, the printer will feed multiple sheets (as many as 5 or 6) through for each printed page. I get all of the pages, but end up with many blank sheets of paper interspersed in the output. Any suggestions?

If your tray is down to the last 20 sheets or so then I wouldn't worry too much about it, just keep your tray full. I have seen that to be a common thread amongst most models of laser printers. They all like to multiple feed when getting down to the last 20 sheets or so.

If it is doing it with say 100 sheets or so still in the tray then I would look very closely at the tray itself as well as the feed roller. Been awhile since I've seen one of those and I don't recall if they have seperation pads or rollers or neither but if it does then that would be the first place to look.

Yeah, this is very common in the 6L. Worn separation pad.
