Compatible carts sued by Epson

Epson seem to be on the warpath about compatible cartridges at the moment, and I was wondering what everyone thought may happen with this.

Seems Epson is trying to bully any competition out of business so they can monopolise the sector, and probably raise prices, but I thought you guys might know better.

I don't know much about the specifics but it seems Epson is making a bad move. In the short term it may help reduce competition but in the long run, if they are successful, who is going to want to buy their printers if the consumables can't be had at a reasonable price?
