I have two HP 5000 laserjets. One I've had for two years, the other I just got today. The indicated page count is 33540. It is really noisy went pulling paper as it prints. What can I do to quiet it down, and what is the 'Deep Cleaning' advertised by the local maintainence people? I've heard its just a through blow-out with canned air.
Thanks,
Brian

Check the tray 2 p\u roller and separation pad. Sounds like? If you have a lower base, then check the clutch on the roller shaft of the tray. Cleaning by just blowing it out is ok if you have removed the fuser, and toner, I recommend Chix cloths for wiping up toner.

again the easiest and cheapest test for sounds coming from a printer is to change the toner.
A full cleaning is suppose to be blowing out the inside of the printer and possibly lubrication and checking for loose parts it is recommended to always have a cleaning done at least once a year depending on how much usage and the environment the printer is put through, such as dusty areas or more printing usage than normal, even paper can cause lint build up and cause jams and etc...
