Help please! I just obtained a used, but good Laserjet 4. I apparently used the wrong driver for my first test job and filled the buffer w/ garbage. Each page (many, many of them!) print one line at the top of giberish. Can anyone tell me how I can clear this and start over with the correct driver? I have powered down & up several times to no avail! In advance - thank you for your help!

This is usually a problem that has to do with the print queue and not the driver. The solution is to empty the print queue before turning your printer back on.Go to your print area(printers and faxes in Windows XP,or properties and then printers in earlier versions of Windows).Double click on the HP 4 icon then go to printer and choose cancel all jobs. This may take several minutes. After that you should be good to go.Good luck.

You used a postscript driver. Just delete the printer and let windows find it again, selecting the pcl driver. O\S ?? XP driver is screwy, use win 2000 driver.
Go to HP site, Support and Drivers.
