Please help as this is driving me mad.
We have an HP LaserJet 2200DN connected to a station via a 10 BaseT ethernet network running a Win2003 Server. I'm sure none of that was relevant.
Here's the problem. The printer will no longer print a page of text properly. It drops letters. It rotates letters. It replaces letters with strange characters.
Thought it might be a driver problem but these have been updated. The problem seems to be coming straight from the printer. Even the test page from the printer is not right. The images are fine but the text is not right. This printer worked fine last year, nothing has changed in the users printing habits and no additional software has been added.
Just in case it's relevant... The lights on the right don't seem to be on properly. There is the Go light, which I thought should be on when printer is powered up but only flashes for a second when power is switched on. The data light, beside the horseshoe icon, is solid all the time, except when you try to print when it starts to flash.
Please HELP!!!

It sounds like you have a problem with your formatter board.(part # C4209-60001)I would recommend checking prices on the part and on a replacement printer before deciding what to do.Sorry for the expensive news.Good luck.
