Never had a problem with my 4L, but it now starting to make a squeeking sound when printing. The pages print normal and OK, but I'm sure this sound is a symptom. I want to be proactive and cure the problem. Any idea's on what needs to be done? Sounds like something needs lubricating or replaced.
Please advise. I appreciate any feedback.

The most common cause of squeaks is the cartridge. The second most common cause is the fuser. If you put grease on the fuser gears they will begin to break down, unless you use the proper amount of the right grease. As a long time printer tech,I would recommend that if the noise is coming from the fuser you let it be until you get a fuser error and at that time replace the fuser.Another common squeak on these occurs only when you are very low on paper. When the paper feed roller becomes worn it can cause the metal plate under the paper to vibrate causing a loud screeching sound when it feeds the last sheet or two.If none of this helps,I would suggest listening closely to the printer to try to locate where the noise is coming from and posting that info on this string.Good luck.
