 My HP Laserjet 4 experiences intermittent power failures. Have tested the following: power strip is on, changed to another power cord known to work on monitor, tested wall outlet. Thought it was a possible fuse gone bad, but the problem is intermittent, so can't be a fuse. Every now and then, I'm able to unplug the power from the back of the printer, replug and jiggle it, and the power comes on A-OK. But God forbid I ever power it off, because it's another fight to get the power back on again. I'm thinking it's possibly loose wiring internal to the machine, but I don't have anything other than the usual owner's manual which doesn't have anything but basic troubleshooting info. Trying to avoid an expensive trip to a repair shop! So: (1) is this something simple I'm overlooking? (2) How do I open the back side to access the power (the screws I've found accomplish nothing!) Any ideas before having to take this somewhere? THANKS FOR ANY INFO!!!
