I just replaced the image drum on this printer to address a color printing issue and the colors are great but there is ghosting. I think that this could be the transfer assembly (although the life is reading 80%) or the transfer belt or roller. All documentation that I have read does not address the ghosting problem. Also does anyone have an illustrated guide on the disassembly of this printer. Please help.

Whoa! You really want to go that far? Just having the manual doesnt make it an easy task! For the ghosting, I suggest that you remove the ITB , reach in the unit, and pull up the transfer roller. You can wipe it with a clean, dry cloth, or replace it. See if there is toner accumulated in the holder, and blow it out. Check the copper contacts on the sides of the assy. Also, check the levers on both sides. they should have black plastic tips.
And....check the fuser! It may be the culprit.
Now.....,there are a few other things that could cause this, and it is rather a bit involved, but the cleaning roller clutch could be bad, H\V contacts dirty, a bad D\C controller, Developer PCA, so if you are familiar with these parts, you can do it, if not, then dont! Have it checked by a real service technician.
