Laserjet 4 Plus Jamming under laser toner

Greetings, when I start up my Laserjet 4 Plus, it makes horrible grinding noises in the front directly under the toner cartridges. When I do a test page, it gathers up under the toner cartridge where there's a roller and never gets up to the upper assembly. I did a total maintenance replacement kit. Any suggestions? The first thing you should do is remove and reseat the toner cartridge. If that doesn't help, replace the toner cart.

You probably have a gear on the main gear drive assembly that is missing teeth. This is quite common. Pull the fuser out and look at the coupling gear that drives the fuser; it's on the left side facing the back. Rotate the gear (helps to have the toner cartidge out). If there are missing teeth you can replace the main gear drive.
