laserjet 1100 paperjam

i have a laserjet 1100 that jams on exit. it feeds through ok using the front exit but jams when using the top exit, at the same time every time.
there are no blockages and no obvious signs of damage.
if anyone can help this would be greatly appreciated!!!

If memory serves me correctly there are two different roller shafts for upper or lower exit, the gear on the upper exit shaft might be broken.

it will feed the paper through, but about an inch before it gets to the end it stops and shows paper jam error. all rollers are in working order. i have stripped and cleaned all the sensors but still does exactly the same..and always at the same point.::confused:

Problem sorted......it was the paper ejection sensor flag that needed tweaking. timing is very sensitive on these printers.
