Hi Guys/Girls,

I have a problem with this annoying squeak thats occuring only sometimes after the last sheet has been fed through.

Firstly they had a re-man toner in there which was screeching so once this was changed, noise had gone. However there was still a squeaking noise which seems to be coming from the registration clutch. All the gears seem to be ok.

It looks like there might be a c-clip missing from the right hand side of the clutch as it is quite wobbly.

Is there any chance that this is the culprit? They have recently had a new reigstration assembly fitted, this looks fine.

I've read on other threads that it could be the scanner motor...

Thanks

Yes, the c-clip needs to be on the clutch, but I would also check the face down delivery rollers, and the diverter assy. on the rear door.
Is it a grinding or groaning squeek? Only after the last page? At start-up?
The 5si is a noisy unit anyway. Luck, M.T.
