5 yr old LJ5. Having intermittent character errors on standard text printing (getting alt characters like % $ * foreign chars instead of normal text in just a portion of printout). Running on parallel cable direct from PC.
Am refurbing this for longer term operation. Is there a std kit or a simple method to replace the printer's memory (which could be causing the problem)? A place to buy and install replacement circuit board? Not seeing these in standard maintenance items.
