Hi:
i'm trying to determine something: is the LCD for the control panel
a piece of defective crap and this is a generally known thing / they
sourced the part from some cheap company.
Do you have burned-out dots in your LCD?
Have you replaced this part?
The above is my thinking from seeing batches of the control panels
available on ebay with burn-outs.
The 5si is a pretty solid printer but defects happen.

p.s. still haven't figured out JPL to print test pages, negating the need for the control panel.
