8100 paper jamming with thicker paper

As the title suggests I have an 8100 that prints fine with standard paper. They then place some slightly thicker paper in the printer (well within the bond weight allowed) and it starts to intermittently jam. I'm not sure what to look for here? There are no adjustments that I am aware of nor are any parts "broken". Suggestions?

exactly where is it jamming?
If it's at the fuser try lifting the two little arms on the fuser. Or if they are in the up position...put them down. And try printing again.
