LJ4100 not communicating with PC

Okay, this one is frustrating me. The printer will not communicate with the PC. I have...

Reset both machines
Tested the machine on another 4100
Replaced the RAM/ROM
Replaced the Formatter
Replaced the Engine Control Board.

Too long with a screwdriver, and not even the satisfaction of the thing working. Any ideas?

Print the config. page. Does a jet direct page page after it? If not replace jet direct card.

Sorry, I was not specific enough. No Jet Direct card is installed, this issue is with the parallel connection.
