I installed two 16 mb chips & a PostScript SIMM in the LJ 6P. The PostScript module is in position 1.

I am connecting the printer's LocalTalk port to the same port on an AsanteTalk converter. The AsanteTalk box connects to the Mac network (?)
<<--->> socket. (I used the same setup for my older, slower NEC printer.)

I cannot see the printer either thru the Chooser or from the HP Printer Utility.

Please, suggestions. HP's website simply frustrates me; I just cannot seem to find what I need.

If you have an older mac with a localtalk connector try connecting directly to the localtalk connector above the parallel port on the 6P.

Print a configuration page by pressing the circular button then the rectangular button and release. This will confirm if postscript is installed and the amount of memory. If it shows up on the config page then it's an issue with the third party interface. I'm not familiar with the product you mentioned, sorry.
