Hi:
I have a LaserJet 4050 that sqeeks while printing. It isn"t a continuous squeek the noise happens only durring part of the cycle, but it's the "nails on a chalkboard" type noise.
I've tried to determine if it's from the paper feed or the paper transport mechanism, but I wasn't able to pinpoint the problem.
Is it possible that a new printer cartridge may solve the problem? My first thought was a dry bearing or a bearing that has paper dust or toner in it. But printer disassembly seems almost impossible with out instructions.
Any thing I might be able to do, any direction will be very mich appreciated.
