Have an HP 2200 that will not print the number 4 for some reason. Say I type (12345) it will appear fine on my screen but will leave out the #4 when it's sent to any print job, why?

Did you check the '4' in the print cartridge? It might be worn out! :D

funny guy.... I've tried a few things: tried every version of the 2200 drivers, tried the generic laserjet 4 driver and still the same thing. I should mention it's a network printer going thru a JetDirect box and the other users print fine to it. The PC is a Dell D600 laptop running XP. Anyone else??.......

Could be a font issue with the printer itself
I would reset the defaults and check the font your using each print out
see if it accepts a different type number font
never know
