Its not really a problem its more like a dislike. I work at an engineering firm and we print a lot of 11x17 jobs (half size of a Ansi D - 22x34) and i used to use a business inkjet 2600dn for this until it went kaput on me. We bought the laserjet 8000 to replace it and it prints fine except for when i need to print it to 11x17. I am losing some of my titleblock because it will not print all the way to edge, leaves like a 1/8" gap all the way around and i need it to be able to print to the edge. I was able to do it with the business inkjet but not with the laser, how come?? Says it will print a max size of 11.7x17.7. Just wondering if there is a way around this or a firmware upgrade or a way to tell it to print to the edges. We us AutoCAD version 2000i and up.
Thanks in advance.

You can check HP.com for a firmware update - you should have the most recent on it anyway. I have a feeling that it's the limits of the drum, scanner and fuser rather than software or firmware related though. The inkjet has a full carriage to work with like a plotter does so it is probably more capable in terms of width.
What does "kaput" mean in terms of problems with your BIJ 2600? Have you had anyone look at it for possible repair? I work on them all the time and they generally are repairable. You can direct email me at rhb57 -at- alltel.net (put it in email address format) and maybe we can resolve the problems with y our BIJ as well.

Dont forget to post the problem with that 2600 and what you did to troubleshoot it and repair it. Thats how we all learn.
Thanks,
Jeff
