I had a 4+ die a few months ago (probably 6 or so). Well, the printer has been sitting here idle all this time and I decided to install a new fuser/maintenance kit to fix the problem that was occuring before, paper would jam half way through.

The fuser works fine, or so I think. If you're looking at the back, with the fuser out, the gears on the left hand side that turn the fuser gears/rollers, are stripped. Well, one of them is. So the fuser will start to turn and then stop cause there are no teeth to turn the roller. Is there anywhere I can get an extra gear anywhere?

Sorry for the longwinded rambling, especially for a first post, but thought I'd make it as detailed as possible, for better or for worse.

TIA,
Billy

Sounds like a main gear assembly gear to the fuser or one of or all fuser gears have chipped teeth.

please examine the gears though those areas and tell us what the problem is.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. That's exactly what it was. Bought the gear assembly and replaced it. Works like a charm.

Thanks again.
