Laserjet 5 printing blank pages

We had a power problem in our building, and since then, our HPLJ5 will only print blank pages. I have tried a new toner cartridge, and doing a cold reset, but that does not help.

When trying to print a test page, I get the normal 2 pages, but they are both blank.

This printer is no longer connected to any device.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Sounds like the shutter to the cartridge is not opening
Check I think on left hand side where the cartridge sits there is a spring loaded switch that is used to open the shutter from the cartiridge if it is not working correctly it will not give you toner on the drum so of course no print
As long as you do not have an error on panel pertaining to scanner issues.
I am no tech but I do work in the cartridge biz
