What would be your solution to this problem with a EX Engine?

Hello!
I have a problem with halogen heater located in fuser
I found that damaged. I buy a new one but I want to know
if there is another device who can cause my heater damage
like a device who didn't interrupt the alimentation of
the heater and the heater overload and burn himself
It is possible?
If you can help me I thank you very much.

Your post is a bit unclear. Did you replace just the halogen lamp or the whole fuser? If you do the test that dmz linked to and the lamp shows open, it's possible that the thermal fuse opened due to an overtemp condition. If that happened, it would probably point to a bad ac/dc power supply module. That could fail and keep voltage to the fuser till the point that it over temped.

This was my response to that post:

thats what i was trying to say in a different way and how I understood the problem, and different termology, before you decided to delete it, you just didn't like what I wrote.

thermal fused opened to a overtemp due to the DC Controller not accurately monitoring the temp caused by a dust covered themoprotector causing the overtemp condition, the also could have happened as well, causing the halogen lamp to overheat.

I thought I'll ask you for your opinions on this forum thread, as a service technician, I am trying to find new theories / expand existing ones about printers and place it into that site and they wont accept it, I am not a tech in this service technicians eyes a parts changer.
