The printer is giving a 50.2 Fuser error. I tried switching the fuser with another of the same printer 2 times, and it still does not work. Another thing worth of note is that when installing the fusers it said Non-HP fuser detected. Any idea what this could be?

When you swapped out the fuser.. did you wait for about 10-15 minutes before powering up the printer again?

Go to this forums main site and look at the error codes listing.

If you tried swapping the fuser with a known good one, AND you had it seated properly, then maybe you have a bad engine controller board.

We've never seen a non-HP fuser message on this printer, so that is odd. Also waiting 10-15 minutes before powering up is only applicable to the laserjet 4/4+/5 models. If you are getting a 50.2 error on two different fusers then you either have two bad fusers or a bad DC-controller.

Turns out this was a bad main board. I wish I had taken pictures of it too. Apparently the guy before me was not taking care of the printers too well, because there was a burned hole right though the mainboard
