Hi there.
My printer went crazy and can't figure out where's it's problem.
It goes like this: it takes a sheet, feeds it, sheet passes over the cartridge, passes over the fuser, prints something on it but then it stops. Paper stuck! Pull the paper out, restart the printer = it does the same damn thing.
Cleaned the whole printer, every roller, took it from the inside to the outside, every pobbile corner but still nothing.
Any of you have had this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Try checking the default paper size is on the printer properties, if your using A4 paper make sure the printer is set to A4 and not letter or some other size.
Also....
The fuser maybe overheating and cutting out, this could be caused by the fuser assembly itself or the DC Controller board.

Right, but the printer is not connected to a PC even if it would have been connected wouldn't have worked. It's dissconnected, has a "powerwire" and that's it. At least i should be able to print a lil` test page, ain't it ?! I press the "start" button, if flickers, starts the "engine", takes a sheet, rolls it a few centimetres over the fuser and the it stops. Sheet comes out 3-4 cm's and it stucks. No matter what i do. I wonder if this ain't no electrical mainbrain problemo :))

It sounds like you have a problem with the Fuser Assembly, Its failing to maintain the right temperature. So most likely your fuser is faulty, the other part would be the DC Controller board but more likely to be the fuser. :)

Hi,

I once had a customer with similiar issue turned out to be a ram problem

maybe same prob?

If that's the problem it means that the electrical part is down, that's because i can't even print a self testpage. If the printer would have been connected to a PC and when i tried to print something i would have explained a memory problem but not at a self testpage.
