Student lab setting printing to HP8150. All print jobs when submitted to queue are now in "paused" mode. You can click on resume and it prints fine but is a major hassle trying to inform students of that. Printer LED says "Maintenance required". Is there any way I can get it to print normally (without pausing) until I can get the thing serviced?
thanks in advance,
randy

:) Get the maintenance kit from your local supplier or from Printer techs. They ahve an excellent instruction sheet for installation of this maintenance kit. it took me 15 minutes to do mine. The instructions will also tell you how to reset the maintenance log so the message will go away. Good luck!

I really think it is a setting problem that I just don't know how to do.

Sounds like the printer is stopping printing on all ERRORS. There is a setting in the panel that you can tell it to keep printing on errors. Not sure exactly where, but it is there. U can also reset the maintenance count so it won't show the error message anymore. You do need to replace the fuser and rollers though as soon as you can.

You can factory reset the printer, First shut the printer off. If you are using a network. you will have to unplug the lan line cable from the side, it is pluged in to the jet direct card. next you must remove the jet direct card .you may need a screw driver it has two screws pull the card out put it aside. now hold down the green go button, keep holding it and turn the printer on. you should see in the dIsplay panel factory reset, you can let the button go and let it go to ready. then shut the printer off. reinsert the jet direct card screw it back down. plug the lan line back in and give it a try.
