I stupidly decided to try to fix a very minor problem on my hp laserjet5m and now I have bust it completely!!!
I took out the drum unit and put it under a piece of paper to sheild it from the office light (dim light at night) and I cleaned the laser lense and the 4 rolers at the back I didnt use any solution just a dry piece of kitchen towel, I was actually trying to clean the black bits inbwetween the rollers but this ended up taking off some toner on the rolers too.
now my printouts are very very dark so black covers the page and the image that was to print is still visible in the background under the dark.
Please help as im kicking myself for being so picky and fiddling, :confused:
