I am having a problem with the 2300 drivers on a Windows 2003 IIS print server. The printer installs on the server itself with no problems using the latest driver off HP's website - "HP Laserjet 2300 Series PCL 6" (the driver info tab shows version 60.5.30.1)
However, when I try to install (connect) the printer on a networked workstation using the IIS print server (whereby all the printers are listed on a webpage on the server), it throws up an error "Setup cannot cop file PJL.GP_".
The file PJL.GPD is listed in the driver info tab on the server, but it doesn't appear to be copying the file to the workstation's temp folder. Interestingly, this is the only printer model that does it. The 4650 uses this file as well, but it copies it over and installs without a problem.
I've tried using all variants of the 2300 driver (PCL5e, PCL6, PS, both normal and 'L' versions), and all give the same result. Any ideas how to go about this, other than using the 2200 driver instead?
