Out of paper message HP 2100TN

I keep getting "out of paper" messages when I try to print, yet there is plenty of paper in the tray. I've tried different type and weights of paper to make sure that wasn't the problem--and always make sure the paper is loaded correctly. Still can't print. Any repair suggestions would be appreciated.

It sounds like the paper sensor flag might be stuck or the sensor itself has gone bad.

if the rollers spin look for skid marks on the top page in the paper tray. If a mark exists then clean the pick up with rubbing alcohol and paper towel. if that dosent work or the printer never spins up then you probably have sensor issue.
