cm1312 led screen blank

Hi. I have an HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi mfp. The LED screen is blank. The printer copies and prints from the computer without diff. The alarm light (!) flashes when something is amiss, and so far I've been able to rectify the situation that is causing the alarm light. I have turned the machine off then on; checked all connections; used different cable; and plugged directly into an electrical outlet--all to no avail. What is causing the blank screen and what, if anything, can be done to fix it? Thanks. :confused:

Sounds like you have a bad control panel assy (CC431-60101). No way to repair so you would have to replace the whole piece with the buttons and all. might run around $50 bucks
