Hello all
A couple of questions for you out there
i have had a rash of dc controller failures on M9040 machines. Usually the problem starts with duplexer jams
and then progresses quickly to complete machine failure. Is this just a localised problem?

The second question relates to theory of operation of the 9040.

I am putting together a training slideshow for new engineers in our company and need some illustrations
of the paper path on a 9040 showing sensor locations and duplexer function. The service manual is pretty
sketchy on this and there is nothing on hp csn.
anyone out there have more info please

The documentation on HP products seems to be getting steadily worse. There is one outfit in Detroit, their home office is in Canada. Try XTRANET, 877-644-3444. They do classes on HP printers. There is little or no theory of operation. The class does a teardown and re-assembly and troubleshoots what got messed up in the process. Besides the trip to Detroit, housing and meals, the class is not cheap. Best I can offer.
