Must you immediatly Install maintenance kit when message shows. If not is there a way to prevent the message from popping up.

no you don't need to install a maint. kit right away. What I do is check the pickup rollers for wear and the fuser and if they are ok then I reset the msg. in the menu. I think it's in the configuration menu, you will see maint. msg. on and off you want to select off then put it back on line and you're set.

also, you can reset the maint page count. but pressing the the left item and value buttons while turning on the printer, turning off the message through the menus. only lasts for while before it will come back.
