I have a LaserJet 4100 that is reporing its total page count to be only 18,000. I know for a fact that if anything, it should be 18 MILLION!!!

Is there a possiblity that the counter has a reset to zero point like rolling your odometer in you car? If so, what is it?

You can change the count to whatever you like in the service menu.

Thats fine, but that is not what I was asking.

No one that works for me would have bothered to do that to the printer so I am wondering if it is possible that the counter only goes to say 9,999,999 and then rolls back to 0 on its own.
