HP 4345mfp hit start, nothing happens when copying

Okay, HDD crashed, did the initialize, everything came up fine. We upgraded the firmware for client while there and now it won't pull docs in the ADF when we load it and hit start. The green LED comes on the adf so it knows the paper is there. Tested all motors and sensors, they all test fine. We can print to it and can print config pages and things. Just can't copy or scan anything.

Any ideas?

Since this only started happening following a firmware upgrade, I would try a second firmware upgrade ... sounds like it's not computing the command to pull from ADF; so my guess is the firmware upgrade hit a glitch and was partially corrupted. Worst case scenario, if a 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) firmware upgrade doesn't help, you may need to replace the formatter.

BTW We normally recommend you skip firmware upgrades whenever possible. The process isn't very stable and too many things can go wrong beyond the control of the tech; in some extreme cases a firmware upgrade can completely crash the formatter. There are some situations where you have to do a firmware upgrade, but we would avoid it unless it's absolutely required.
