I'm assuming your running a version of Windows? Turn off, or better yet unplug, the printer. Go to the printer settings and cancel all print jobs. Make sure the 960 is set as your default printer. You may even want to reboot the PC. Plug the printer in and try again. If this dosen't solve it, you may need to re-install an updated driver from hp.com . What OS are you running? Did you change anything on the PC lately (sevice packs, new hardware/ software)?
Installing SP1 on Win XP can cause some driver issues, so update your drivers accordingly.

Are you using a True Type font, try printing something from word pad or note pad.
