Interminent printing problems. One minute cleaning page looks like a 3d hologram and then the next time, its all good. Configuration page is never the same, one time it prints fuzzy and then page 2 is perfect. All pages are like that. Any help would be great.

Is the toner properly fused to the page? If so, it could be the laser assembly.

This is a solid ink printer, so you won't find a laser unit in it.

This problem is usually caused by a dirty encoder disk, this is located on the left side of the printer, you will need to remove the left hand cover, and near the middle of the machine towards the top you will see a round disk, remove the plastic cover and carefully remove any dirt or dust from the disk with compressed air. The disk is fairly delicate so be careful when doing this. Reassemble and test - good luck!

blurred print is usually the encoder disk. as stated. but if cleaning doesn't fix it the encoder is not avaible seperately, you have to replace the the drum assy. I have done ran accros 3 printers with this prob and had to replace the drum assy. luck for the user they where still under warranty, you may want to see if it is still under warranty as the drum assy is not cheap.
