This unit takes abnormally long to spool a document and print. User states that when printing a multipage document that it pauses after 3-4 pages and goes through a cleaning cycle, then gets a ["Misprint" error press ok to continue]. They press ok and it reprints the previous page and continues on for 2-3 more prints and goes back to the cleaning cycle/ misprint error issue until the job is completed. I watched them print a 12 page document and it did this 5 times so ended up with 17 pages printed 5 of which were duplicates. I have pushed the latest firmware to the unit and then I tested it by sending a 9 page document. While watching the document (PDF) spool it jumped in size from 1.66MB actual size to 46.4MB on printer. It took 10 minutes for the document to complete. I attached the spooling sequence screen shots. It finished printing at 12:00 noon and you can see when it started on the screen shots. Any ideas. Thanks.

The misprint error every time you print is fairly common on those. You can find the fix by googling the model type + misprint. I forget the specifics, but you have to change the default paper type and a couple other settings. I've only seen that problem three times and the google fix worked on two of them. The third time we ended up swapping the drawer that holds the cartridges with another machine and that fixed it. Oddly enough, when we swapped them back, both machines worked fine.

The other issue could be two things. First you want to look thru all the print setting and make sure it is not set to print the pdf's as an image. Other than that, try using an actual PDF driver instead of PCL to print your pdf's.
