View Full Version : HP4515 has a Vibration
We installed a maintenance kit and tried a paper drive assembly but cannot resolve the vibration. It occurs during power up and during printing. Any suggestions of steps to take or common causes?

You may have a bad or dirty fan? The fans only run during POST and printing.

I've seen a few of the drum drive gears wear so badly that they cause a horrible non-stop screeching noise. Maybe yours is not as bad but on its way?

That P4515 printer (because of its speed) is naturally louder than some models; but if the noise in comparison to other P4515 seems unusually loud you should also look at the 3 drive gears in the printer which help drive the fuser.
We sell a gear repair kit at PrinterTechs which includes those 3 gears; if you remove the fuser and look into the printer cavity you will notice the large brown gear, and there are 2 white ones behind it that also work to turn the fuser. When these gears wear you can get that noisy vibration. That gear kit isn't listed on the Web site, so you'd have to call. 866-352-7108
