My Hp color laserjet cp5225 printer has just one dirty line across the page after printing. I've serviced the rollers with methylated spirit but there's no change, what might be the problem?

Sorry, I am not familiar with that printer but the color lasers all work about the same. Does it feed the short side of the paper first or the long side? Is the line vertical on the printed page or horizontal? You say it is one time only per page? What kind of an image are you printing that has the line? Is the line there when you do a test page from the control panel? What color is the line? Give us some more info and maybe we can help. The only time I saw a problem like this it was the toner cartridge. It was a genuine HP cartridge about half full. It left a ragged line across the page horizontally. I think the wiper blade in the cartridge was failing allowing toner to build up on the blade then dump it on the paper.

Thanx Al
It was a dirty line, not from the toner cartridges. when i checked properly, i saw some rollers just the paper comes out(i think they are there to guide the printed paper out), so one of this rollers was causing the dirty image/or linear image. i'm thinking of replacing the whole rollers. My problem is that it's difficult to source printer parts in Swaziland. Where can i buy printer spares, i can ship them to Swaziland?

You never said if the dirty line is a particular colour.
For instance, if it's black, replace the black cartridge.
Check the ITB. Pull it out and see if it is dirty.
Put paper in the manual feed tray.
Print something, the config page is good.
When the paper feeds halfway into the printer, open the right door assembly.
Look at the page that is printing for that "dirty" line. If there is no dirty line,
you could have a bad fuser.
Since you never mentioned it, we have to assume that there is no warranty
on the printer.

Hi
When I want to print something out from Photoshop CS5 on my printer I get this error.
PCL XL Error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalOperatorSequence
File name: derived_scr/1x55.ndbg.kernel.c
Line number: 1820
My windows system is Windows xp proffesional with servicepack 3.
If I print out from other program I donīt get any errors.
Regards
John

Change the driver to the PDF driver when printing from that program.

Joseph.steve, What are you snorting?
Why would anyone want to replace a CP5225 LASER printer with a
C310a INK JET printer which suffers from a touch screen ops panel
that works some of the time and software crashes.
